For a coffee bar in Amsterdam I made this metal cake display case with glass, and beautiful TOSIZE.co.uk black trespa legplaten for displaying the food.

DIY: cake display case

I welded a frame from steel angle profiles at the bottom and in the uprights and T profiles at the top. I finished this with scano floor oil so that it shines, no longer releases dirt and has a solid rust protection. In it I processed glass plates and trespa platen which are attached using black polymax kit. These disappear nicely into the profiling of the steel. By means of shims I have aligned the trespa plates nicely at the same height with the steel edge.
