Custom kitchen cabinet made of solid beech, by Daph

We had an empty space in the kitchen, between a cupboard and the refrigerator. There was a cove with a sloping wall, so that required a custom solution.

The biggest challenge was the slope of the wall. The horizontal planks were cut to size, in length and width, so that fit exactly. But I sawed out the oblique part myself so that it would fit exactly against the cove. First I measured everything, then made a mold of cardboard, then measured a few more times and adjusted the mold. Then a plank marked and sawn. It fitted well and I was able to continue with the other three.
