Tips from G&M

Make sure you align the parts perfectly. Simply placing the dowels in the right spot isn't enough, as there is sometimes 1 or 2 mm of play at the joints, and if you don't pay attention to that, it will end up crooked as your cabinet gets taller. And once glued, you can't change anything anymore ;-) Sealing the gaps and seams with caulk is also recommended before painting; that makes the result look much nicer. Oh yes, if you have the option, keep the small compartments on the outer sides of the cabinet to a minimum. That saves unnecessary seams on the outside that you would otherwise have to caulk, which doesn't look as nice.
