Tips from Piet

I know from experience that lighting at the back of the compartments creates an unsightly effect. You often only see the dark silhouettes. Spotlights in the middle of the compartments are better, but you are often looking directly into the light, which is also distracting. That is why I opted for LED strips placed at the very front of each compartment in a black aluminum profile that shines downwards at a 45-degree angle into the compartment. The result is that everything in the compartment is now well lit and the light source is not visible. Moreover, the beams now appear a centimeter thicker due to the profile. Because the cabinet is built against the wall and I also wanted to see as few wires as possible, this lighting plan took me many hours involving a lot of soldering. (The connectors were too thick to fit behind the cabinet.)
