TV Cabinet made of MDF panels, by Randy

For this project, an IKEA BESTA module was used as the interior, which was then finished with custom-cut MDF panels from OPMAATZAGEN.nl. The panels were neatly finished all around, rounded on the visible sides and then sprayed in matt black (RAL 9005). The aim was to make the interior completely invisible and give the furniture a sleek, customised look.

How is the furniture made?

I used an IKEA BESTA cabinet as a base. I then determined the dimensions of the panels I needed and ordered them from OPMAATZAGEN.nl. The panels ensure that the interior is completely covered, creating more space at the back for my amplifier and other equipment.

After delivery, I first drilled all the hinge holes before sending the panels to the paint shop. There, they were professionally spray-painted in matt black (RAL 9005).
Each visible side has a panel, with the edges of the top slightly rounded (1–2 mm) for a smooth transition and a luxurious look.

The result is a sleek, modern piece of furniture with the solidity of IKEA BESTA and the look of a fully customised design.
