Two nightstands made of MDF (30mm/18mm/12mm), all cut to order according to our own blueprint. MDF with a pre-treated primer layer is ideal for immediate use.

How I Made This Project

We couldn't find anything to our liking in furniture stores, especially the height was an issue, so we decided to make them ourselves. Using an initial sketch from our son, we created a shopping list and ordered everything online. Upon arrival, everything was in perfect order and neatly delivered in the correct millimeter sizes. Our design required a lot of pre-measuring and marking where drill and screw holes should go. Fitting both drawers was also a precise task. The fronts are made of self-cut narrow MDF slats, and everything is glued in beautiful straight continuous lines. Finally, a lot of puttying and sanding, but the end result can be compared to a designer piece.
