Using the high-quality particleboard from OPMAATZAGEN.nl, we built a cabinet around our washing machine. The boards have a beautiful dark gray high-gloss coating, which perfectly matches the wardrobe next to it. They almost seem to go together. We're super happy with it! By enclosing the washing machine, the (quite small) laundry and utility room now has a much calmer appearance, and the cabinet also dampens the noise coming from the machine when it's running.

How I made this project

The boards were custom-ordered, making it quite easy to assemble the cabinet. We then mounted the doors with piano hinges. The doors open and close using a magnetic catch. With two doors, it's easy to remove the laundry from the machine. The cabinet is built slightly larger around the washing machine, so there's also space for a laundry basket next to it. We're very pleased with it!
